Morocco's cement industry saw a modest increase in deliveries in 2023, with a total of 12.51 million tons by the end of December. This represents a 0.19% rise compared to the previous year, as reported by the Ministry of National Spatial Planning, Urban Planning, Housing, and City Policy.

The breakdown of these deliveries by segment includes 7.54 million tons for distribution, followed by more than 2.55 million tons for ready-mix concrete (BPE), 1.22 million tons for precast concrete (PREFA), 453,495 tons for building, and 744,202 tons for infrastructure.

In December 2023 alone, 1.12 million tons of cement were delivered, marking a 19.1% increase compared to the same month in 2022. These deliveries were distributed among various segments, including distribution, BPE, PREFA, building, and infrastructure.

This slight increase in cement deliveries indicates a steady demand in the Moroccan construction sector, despite the challenges faced in the industry.
