Karauli district in Rajasthan has become the site of a remarkable discovery, with the identification of substantial iron ore deposits, heralding a new era for the state's industrial sector. Under the guidance of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, the Mining Department initiated preparations for auctioning composite licenses for iron ore blocks across approximately 1888 hectares in the Hindon area near Karauli. Initial explorations suggest the presence of over 840 million tons of iron ore, with both magnetite and hematite varieties identified.

This discovery is set to significantly impact Rajasthan's industrial development and job creation, with the potential to attract new investments and bolster the steel and cement industries. The auction of composite licenses, facilitated by the Rajasthan State Mines and Minerals Ltd (RSMML), is expected to further explore and confirm the extent of these deposits. The presence of iron ore in Karauli not only promises to enhance the state's industrial investments but also supports a variety of industries including coal washing, ferroalloys, foundries, ceramics, and cement, ensuring a steady supply of raw materials for years to come.
