PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) is playing a significant role in the construction of the Sigli – Banda Aceh Toll Road, which is a vital part of the Trans-Sumatra toll road network. The company has supplied 236 thousand tons of cement for the construction of this toll road, which stretches 74.1 kilometers and is the first toll road in the Aceh Province.

The Sigli – Banda Aceh Toll Road is a crucial infrastructure project that will improve road accessibility, reduce travel time, and facilitate faster and more efficient travel for road users.The completion of the Sigli – Banda Aceh Toll Road is expected to have a substantial impact on travel times, with the journey to the Malahayati International Port via the Padang Tiji Toll Gate to the Baitussalam Toll Gate expected to be reduced to just 1 hour from the previous 3.5 hours. Additionally, it will cut the travel time through winding hills by 2 hours, reducing it from 3 hours to 1 hour.
