Morocco's cement industry, after facing significant challenges, is beginning to see a light at the end of the tunnel. In a sequential comparison, the sector experienced a modest increase of 0.7%, with annual sales stabilizing at a 0.19% growth year-over-year (y-o-y), reaching 12.5 million tons (MT) in 2022.

January's sales data revealed a mixed performance across different market segments. The "Infrastructure", "Ready Mix Concrete (BPE)", "Prefabrication (Prefa)", and "Distribution" categories witnessed increases of 64.70%, 17.37%, 5.15%, and 0.11%, respectively. However, the "Building" segment saw a significant decline of 23.68%. This nuanced performance underscores the sector's gradual recovery and the varying demand across different construction segments in Morocco.
