Saudi Arabia - Yanbu Cement's Local Sales Surge in January 2024

Yanbu Cement Company, a key player in the cement industry, has witnessed a remarkable 35% increase in its local cement sales for January 2024, with sales reaching 448,000 tons compared to 331,000 tons in the same period in 2023. This surge in sales has elevated the company's market share to approximately 10%. The increase is part of a consistent growth trajectory, with sales in January 2024 also showing a 7.9% rise from December 2023's sales of 415,000 tons.

Additionally, the company experienced a 28.1% increase in clinker stockpiles in January 2024 compared to the same period last year, totaling 5.749 million tons. Despite this stockpile growth, clinker production saw an 8.8% decrease, producing 494,000 tons in January 2024 down from 542,000 tons in January 2023.

Yanbu Cement also stood out in clinker exports for January 2024, being the second-highest among cement companies with 51,000 tons exported, representing 14.7% of the total cement exports during the same period. However, this figure marks a 55.6% decrease from the 115,000 tons exported in January 2023.
