Ciments du Maroc, a leading cement producer, has disclosed its financial performance for 2023, achieving a net profit of 994 million dirhams. This represents a notable growth of 8.3% compared to the previous year, with an increase of 77 million dirhams. The company attributes this success to the relative stability of the construction sector, coupled with increased sales volumes across all its business segments. Key factors contributing to this positive outcome include the consolidation of clinker export levels from the Aït Baha plant and the offsetting of inflationary pressures on cost factors through lower international fossil fuel prices.

The operational revenue for the year stood at 4.3 billion dirhams, up by 6.4% from 2022, while the operating income rose by 7.6% to 1.42 billion dirhams. Additionally, the company's self-financing capacity increased by 2.2%, reaching 1.17 billion dirhams. Looking forward, Ciments du Maroc anticipates positive market prospects, driven by ambitious infrastructure programs and upcoming events such as the African Nations Championship 2025 and the 2030 FIFA World Cup. Furthermore, the company's board will propose a dividend distribution of 60 dirhams per share for the fiscal year 2023 at the next General Assembly.
