During a high-level government delegation visit led by Deputy Prime Minister Temesgen Tiruneh, the immense potential of the Lemi National Cement Plant, currently under construction near Lemi town in the Ansaro district, Showa North zone, was underscored.
With the project entering its critical phase of civil and electromechanical completion, it's poised to significantly bolster cement production. The Amhara regional and federal governments have committed to addressing compensation and infrastructure development issues to facilitate a swift transition to full production. The plant's operation is anticipated to alleviate the cement shortage, enhancing the construction sector's capacity and efficiency.
