Indonesia's Sleman Regency has achieved a significant milestone in sustainable waste management by sending 30 tons of refuse-derived fuel (RDF) to PT Solusi Bangun Indonesia Tbk (SBI) Cilacap Plant in Central Java.

The RDF, produced at the Tamanmartani Integrated Waste Processing Site in Sleman Regency, is intended to be used as an alternative to coal in the cement production process.

This initiative is part of a collaboration between Sleman Regency and SBI, aiming to reduce the reliance on coal and promote environmentally friendly practices in the cement industry.

The delivery of RDF to the SBI Cilacap Plant marks a significant step towards addressing urban waste challenges with a circular economic approach.
