Ecebol, Bolivia's Public Cement Company, reported a 12% increase in cement sales in 2023, reaching Bs 300 million, according to the company's technical manager, Javier Calle.

This marks a 12% increase compared to the previous year's sales of Bs 274 million. This growth in sales underscores the company's expanding presence in Bolivia's construction materials market.

Ecebol, operating under the Ministry of Productive Development and Plural Economy (MDPyEp), has cemented its position as a key player in the industry with two production plants located in Oruro and Potosí. These facilities primarily serve the western markets of the country.

The company's successful year also translated into a profit of approximately Bs 72 million and contributed at least Bs 3 million to the Bono Juancito Pinto, a social initiative aimed at income redistribution.

With a production output of 398,000 tons of cement in 2023, Ecebol is looking forward to expanding its market reach to Cochabamba and Santa Cruz in 2024. This expansion is part of its strategy to increase sales revenue to an estimated Bs 370 million, further solidifying its role in Bolivia's economic and development sectors.
