Ciments du Maroc and Heidelberg Materials Launch evoBuild® for Sustainable Construction
Heidelberg Materials and its subsidiary Ciments du Maroc announce the launch of evoBuild®, a new brand for sustainable construction materials, following the global introduction of evoZero®, the first zero-net-carbon cement through carbon sequestration.
In a significant step towards sustainable construction, Heidelberg Materials, along with its Moroccan subsidiary Ciments du Maroc, has introduced evoBuild®, a new brand dedicated to low-carbon and circular construction materials.
This initiative follows the successful launch of evoZero® in November 2023, marking Heidelberg Materials' first foray into zero-net-carbon cement through carbon sequestration. evoBuild® aims to integrate sustainable products across all countries where the company operates, offering a portfolio that meets strict industrial standards and strong sustainability references.
The evoBuild® product range is designed to reduce CO2 emissions by at least 30% compared to reference values and includes circular products containing at least 30% recycled aggregates or reducing material needs by at least 30%, such as Heidelberg Materials' special mortar for 3D concrete printing. This launch enriches Ciments du Maroc's offerings with innovative and sustainable products in cement, ready-mix concrete, and aggregates, supporting Morocco's pioneering choices in using alternative fuels, incorporating fly ash, and continuously seeking to economize non-renewable materials.
