Innovandi Open Challenge 2024 Invites Carbon Capture Startups To Apply

The Global Cement and Concrete Association (GCCA) has launched its Innovandi Open Challenge 2024, a program that aims to bring together tech start-ups and leading manufacturers to work on achieving zero emissions.

The challenge is looking for startups in carbon capture, storage, and utilization to apply to partner with its members, the world’s leading cement and concrete companies, to accelerate the next wave of innovations to achieve net-zero goals. The Innovandi Open Challenge 2024 is the third edition of the competition and builds on the success of the previous two launched in 2022 and 2023.

The challenge is open to startups worldwide, and the winners will have the opportunity to work with the GCCA members to develop and implement their solutions. The initiative was announced during a launch event that took place on Feb 20th, 12:30 – 13:30 GMT, featuring key speakers from the industry, including participants from the first two challenges.

The GCCA is a not-for-profit international association focused on reducing emissions in the concrete sector.
